JPC Plaster & Drywall has been involved in several major restoration projects. Click on the following bullet items for a photo step-by-step through the repair process on two of our major restoration projects.
- Cella, an old Ford family home in Belleville, MI
- The Scripps Mansion in Lake Orion, MI
- Whickham Restoration Job
- Alpha Chi Sigma Restoration Job
- Federal Building in Battle Creek, MI
- Shaiawassee District Library
- Curwood Castle Museum in Owosso, MI
- M. Fish
Additionally, our company has taken on restoration work that although smaller in scope than the jobs referenced above, are equally as challenging for a skilled restoration expert. For example, in the photo below we restored the plaster in a dining room ceiling then applied 4 of these plaster medallions in the four corners of the room. These medallions were purchased from a distributor. Plaster Medallions can often be repaired or reproduced on job site. Cornices can also be repaired using the same techniques.
Below photo is Jim Conklin holding a medallion that was badly damaged, re-built by filling in missing / damaged sections with clay, a mold taken of the positive, plaster poured into the negative, and this is the finished medallion that has come out of the mold before being mounted on the wall:You can read and see more about this restoration in the Scripps Mansion link here.
